What players think
The recurring themes across 111 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Having other characters to play as and the new story definitely make the experience a lot more enjoyable.
The mechanics were interesting, and it's essentially a race to figure out how to dodge/block things before dying and trying again.
You don't unlock too many skills (I wish there were more), but there's enough to encourage mixing and matching, and trust me, once you find a good combination of spells, you can combo them pretty good. combine this with the game's guard and heal mechanics and it ads an almost character action-ish feel to the combat loop.
The soundtrack further elevates the experience through energetic compositions that complement both exploration and intense boss encounters.
The art is much nicer, the graphics are a massive leap in most areas and the maps are even better.
