Each character is unique and different enough to be enjoyable and the mechanics are solid, not a lot of move options as other series but the controls are so tight, its really fun.
There's deep lore, lovable characters, and the moment to moment fighting is dopamine feedback looping at its' finest.
The roster is massive, the artwork is 10/10 and the dialogue is great but the thing that shocked me the most was the in game shop.
It took a few tries, but after actually getting the full game, I've quickly come to appreciate Granblue's balance between an accessible learning curve and the means to engage with more technical complexity, once you get your bearings.
While the single player content is rather lacking, the multiplayer offers a lot of replayability.
The music is great and the visuals are unrivaled as far as anime games go, with the animation and details of the characters' supers being a highlight for me.
