What players think
The recurring themes across 197 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
You would think with all of the junk in the game it would be a pain to get around, but I also found the game very friendly, like you are always given easy hints and the game often points you to the next story mission, and despite spoon feeding you the directions, it still feels rewarding to complete various quests.
From the outset, the game establishes itself as something unorthodox—less concerned with action or conventional progression, and more focused on worldbuilding, atmosphere, and the slow unraveling of a strange metaphysical mystery.
The visuals are absolutely astonishing, they are not only quite unique but they are extremely satisfying to look at if you're into this kind of psychedelic designs.
Walking through the island’s five neighborhoods feels like wandering inside a digital fever dream, enhanced by Parrello’s haunting, ambient soundtrack that shifts between melodic and dissonant as the game’s mood requires.
