What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Because this game is semi-working, I can’t strictly claim Capcom is strong-arming older players who have this into the USF4 “Upgrade” purchase (really more of a loyalty discount for a semi-new game that advances the story at the snail’s pace fighting games and especially SF games are known for), but it kind of looks that way, yes.
And that’s not a lack of fidelity to the older titles’ art style (where people have huge hands and feet and stuff when you really look close), so I think of it more as a historical hiccup, trying to escape looking like just another DX9 game, and at that it succeeds.
and street fighter iv got the best gameplay and fun.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 6 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
