This is a shame because the gameplay and visuals that Testament accomplishes are pretty good on its own without the overextension of the story.
If you want a fun fantasy hack and slash, with magic and bows, with interesting combat arenas, puzzles and character progression, then you'll enjoy this.
Gamepad support seems to be fine, I played with my PlayStation 5 controller without problems, it even showed the PlayStation symbols.
