What players think
The recurring themes across 105 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
As a result of said enhancements, the final fights start to feel less like mere fights and more like dance sessions, the rhythm of which may initially be hard to grasp with a single encounter, as purely aggressive playstyle can (and likely will be) severely punished.
It also does a great job ramping up difficulty, every kami you beat makes the next one harder, but it's not just that they hit harder and can take more damage (though that is also something that happens).
The combat is really fun, and the skills add a whole new dimension to the gameplay, which makes the fights even more enjoyable.
Haven't enjoyed a game this much in a long time, Visuals + Audio are both amazing.
I really liked the story and the characters, I just wish we could know more about the lore of it.
All of which is only further enhanced with a beautiful visual style, elegantly done and fitting sound design and music, as well as overall charm provided by the various things you get to discover both in and out of the fights.
