What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Nonetheless, this is a true masterpiece, minimalistic yet complicated, simplistic yet beautiful, it doesn't even need a lore, all the explanation is in the game and in the name itself, this is a representation of the active principle of the mind and how it's a nexion between the physical and the metaphysical, manifesting itself in the form of problems to solve, the map is non-linear as the beginning is the end and all the progression loops back into itself, it represents a manifestation of a metaphysical/acausal plane, and the game's progression is able to tell a linear story with genuinely valuable lessons, which represents a manifestation of a physical/causal plane which is this world, and this is connected via the mind which transcends spatial boundaries to extend its comprehension into this non-euclidean space, it makes the player free themselves from physical boundaries and thinking by imposing a new and alien structure of space itself.
The game's progression and design is excellent, the ambience was delightful to my ears and created that sense of a surreal space.
Finnished in 2013, it's a really cool game that focuses on going through a maze of graphics.
The clean, abstract aesthetic makes every twist and optical illusion feel clear and meaningful, and the sound design quietly supports the mystery and atmosphere without ever distracting from the experience.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
