Till this day, no other game managed to replicate the excellent sci-fi setting and narrative that is cleverly interwoven with the gameplay.

I tried playing with the expansion, Alien Crossfire (it's an option in the launch menu when you first click "play game"), but it still crashed eventually.
The other faction leaders are incredibly well-realized with their own distinct motives, personalities, and superb voice acting at times.
Linux wise (Debian 12 xfce), the sound problem is still persistent, but everything else works out of the box (fullscreen, no missing cursor, no intro video cut off, no save & reload after every secret project playing).
