What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Progression continually introduces additional vocabulary and mechanics, meaning later challenges require knowledge accumulated throughout earlier sections.
It hits a very good balance of difficulty - with many puzzles appearing monstrous (actually gasped at seeing a couple), but feeling much more intuitive once you start playing around a little.
The meditative soundtrack contributes to the same atmosphere, creating a relaxing background for puzzles that can become surprisingly demanding.
Hand-drawn visuals give the creatures and environments a distinctive storybook personality, while the puzzle grids remain clean and easy to understand.
The game is officially Steam Deck Verified, with its core functionality working through the handheld's controls and its interface remaining usable on the smaller display.
I think the digital interface makes solving the late game puzzles ( question mark spam ) way easier than on paper.
