What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There is a slight clash between comfort of gameplay and visuals.
It never overwhelms you with exposition, but there’s still enough voiced dialogue, environmental storytelling, and visual progression to make the world feel alive.
Or it could be because the old-school graphics fit the game perfectly, and each of the 5 maps available (6 with the DLC) play differently enough for you to go "Hm.
Perfect game on the Steam Deck as well!
The most striking thing about it is the presentation; anyone who has played the original Diablo feels immediately at home which isn't a small feat to accomplish; the way characters and enemies are carefully animated in multiple directions makes a huge difference in making the game feel immersive and the soundtrack + voice acting is a perfect cherry on top of it.
DLC is worth the money.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
