The visuals, while dated, still look impressive despite being sprite-based, with units having a strong sense of style.
- Tiberian Sun has an excellent worldbuilding of "show don't tell", especially in its expansion Firestorm (back when add-ons weren't 20€ PNG files but were almost entire new games) you can find tiberian lifeforms roaming around, tiberium vinifera covering the seas, tiberium veins proliferating on the landscape, the soundtrack is magnificent - my favourite of all RTSes
And multiplayer is still fun and fresh.
