Tunnet has a story and is not an infinite grind.
This game is for a very niche demographic - I have monster behavior on friendly just so I can learn the networking aspect of gameplay, and after 130 hours I've built an easily replicated and modular router design that I've just finished upgrading for my 0.0.x.x and 0.1.x.x subnets - and I've just now discovered a massive security flaw that is also causing major packet loss in 0.1.3.x.
Rather than overwhelming players with unnecessary complexity, Tunnet turns infrastructure management into a rewarding puzzle-solving process built around experimentation and optimization.
The simple environments work surprisingly well because the lighting and underground architecture create a distinctive industrial aesthetic filled with isolation and tension.
