Ace Combat 8 feels like the biggest leap in graphics and gameplay we've seen in the series, but there were some big areas I think this one could have done a lot better on.
The story, though very straight forward, was written and executed extremely well.
I like being able to choose their aircraft tho, i would have liked to choose their loadout too, cuz sometimes they have weapons they dont need (bringing air to ground weapons to a mission for dealing with aircraft ONLY).
The graphics in general feel like a huge leap in both fidelity and budget, and in general it makes 7 look like an xbox 360 game (which maybe isn't too far off, considering 6 looked like an xbox one game).
The sound design for aircraft, weapons, and explosions is different from any of the previous games, and I don't think it can get much better than it is here.
On my 5080 I'm getting about 60-80 fps on high with DLSS balanced at 1440p.
