What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
You then have to pay a 1 to 3 month sub for MOST the music, and if you are so dedicated to this game that you want to play harder songs, REALISTICALLY, you need to THEN pay ANOTHER premium for a drum controller, a HitBox (which I personally think is cheating and thus GA-d myself from using), etc.
I love Taiko no Tatsujin and the core gameplay, original music and charting of Rhythm Festival is still as fun and engaging as always.
The gameplay is simple but addictive, the visuals are gorgeous and the characters have fun and adorable designs.
The PC is the completely wrong kind of platform for the features and game modes present in Rhythm Festival, which focus mostly on local multiplayer and are geared toward children and/or casual rhythm game players.
It's worth it if you know you like Taiko and it plays perfectly on Steam Deck as well.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
