Letifer delivers a fast and aggressive take on the action roguelite formula, blending twin-stick shooting with bullet hell encounters and progression inspired by survivors-style games.
The whole “Daughter of demon destined to bring about the end of the world” bit feels very Hellboy but it does serve to provide adequate story beats to justify clicking on to new stages.
The story provides a supernatural framework for the action without constantly interrupting the pace, allowing combat and character progression to remain at the center of the experience.
It has great art style, music, and an interesting story (with voice acting in the opening scene).
