What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Gameplay: The gameplay is incredibly fun if you learn how to play with the characters and pick one that you like.
To say that Fistful of Gun is a multiplayer game would be doing it a severe injustice though at it’s heart it really is meant to be played with others, both locally through a wonderful system of couch co-op or online with fully optimised net code.
With a fun goofy story mode and more enemies to kill than you can dream of.
The games works well, with a steady framerate of 120 fps (GTX 970) and until now i had no connection issues with the multiplayer modes.
All of this is done through a top down, almost bullet hell game play filled with colour, and extremely pretty pixel styled graphics that invoke a retro gaming feel but a very modern and fast gaming experience.
The controls of some playable characters work great with a 360 controller - but not that great whilst playing via keyboard.
