My Little Universe is a deceptively simple yet thoroughly engaging resource-gathering and world-building game that embraces a minimalist design philosophy while offering hours of progression-focused gameplay.
What begins as a straightforward loop of mining rocks and chopping trees quickly evolves into a sprawling network of ecosystems, resource chains, combat encounters, and exploration, all rendered in a charming low-poly art style.
Co-op is incredibly enjoyable with friends and speeds up progression quite a bit.
The game also supports cooperative multiplayer, allowing friends to join your world and contribute to your shared development.
Playing MLU with my controller has worked well, and the only minor issue I've encountered is from trying to charge my tool.
The sound design supports this well, with gentle ambient music and satisfying sound effects that give feedback without overwhelming the senses.
