What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
New characters, new gods, new abilities, endless mode, full story conclusion, regular balance patches, community-driven development.
Is the core gameplay fun?
The controls are so simple yet addicting which makes for simple "brain dead" gameplay with all of the satisfaction and the art style is beautiful.
It features a very similar and clearing inspired boon system to Hades, and the gods actually have quite charming novice voice acting.
They also have an equipment aspect like an Arpg (with certain equipment only working for certain classes, others are open to all, etc), and the equipment carries over between Runs and you can always find better loot like any Arpg and consistently improve your Armor, Weapons, and other Equipment, etc.
Runs flawlessly on Steam Deck as well.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
