Mudborne: Frog Management Sim

Beyond the physical world lies a dreamlike parallel realm that adds a surreal dimension to exploration, introducing abstract puzzles and symbolic spaces that contrast with the grounded naturalism of the pond.

I haven't progressed on the story much but so far it seems very solid; I've heard there were dream variants of the world so I'm SUPER excited to get there.

Complementing the visuals is a gentle soundscape of ambient music, croaks, and environmental noises that reinforces the game’s meditative pacing and makes long sessions feel relaxing rather than draining.

I think it's a combination of the well made menu system, automation machines, base decorating, and frog breeding (I do a lot of bee/plant/tree breeding in minecraft lul).

Huge fan of pixel indie games and this is no exception; it fits the very calm chill vibes of the game and the sound effects when, let's say, discovering a new species is so satisfying to the ears and brings so much joy.

Towards the end, I did have to write out the combinations before attempting them in the game which is something I enjoyed - I was happy to see the difficulty of the mechanic taken seriously.
