What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Easy to understand mechanically with an easy to understand story and quests.
+Training up monsties, creating and upgrading gear, taking on challenging subquests and exploring the world are genuinely enjoyable, although less so for the latter if you're on foot or slower-moving monsties.
-The rock-paper-scissors of combat is an interesting idea, but some of it is still up to RNG.
+Visuals are really nice, and the monsties look like they fit right in with the chibi-fied human character models.
Voice acting is nice but I wish the main character had more dialogue boxes even if they aren’t voiced.
+Character customization is pretty good, even letting you use parts from certain NPC models.
