What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
However, it's gameplay and mechanics all tailored towards stealth are what makes Thief a special experience.
Thief has a few good aspects; the looting is satisfying and the graphics are beautiful, but the game is just a shadow of its former self (pun intended); linear story and level design, limited gameplay, forgettable soundtrack, poor sound design and just too many technical issues.
On normal difficulty you are permitted to make a surprising amount of "slip-ups" that the enemy will simply dismiss in terms of being seen.
Interesting mechanics, fine progression, Garett looks like Joaquin Phoenix, works without crashes on linux which is a nice change after witcher 3 :P
