The presentation is hit or miss; I really like the bouncy, lively, old-school cartoon style and animation of the characters, weapons and props throughout the game.
It really reminds me a lot more of one of those top notch PS2 platformers like Sly Cooper, Jak & Daxter, and Ratchet & Clank where both the varied gameplay and attention to art and voice acting were about the best out there.
I had this game on my wishlist since I first saw it (around 2024), and I was immediately sold on the art style, so I was super excited to play it when it released.

For Hire is a very creative game that manages to stand out in the crowded FPS genre.
Speaking of the Deck, like I said it works out the box but on the SteamDeck it uses a custom preset and locks itself to 40 FPS which would be fair enough if it wasn't capable of running 60fps pretty consistantly on it.
