Honestly, I was fine with this and it worked with how the story was told while still getting to use the characters I like for battle.
I enjoyed the customization in this one and did not feel too stressed about min-maxing or worrying I picked a horrible choice.
These all combine to create a really fun character customization system for combat with a lot of depth, but it isn't overly complex or confusing.
The voice acting helps significantly with this, but also the decision to have a slightly smaller core cast was a definite boon.
You do some fairly deep character customization between fights, and this customization unlocks quickly.
Playing on Hero difficulty feels like the most fair out of all difficulties, but I don't know how to feel about the enemy quantities and how much of an HP sponge these enemies are.
