What players think
The recurring themes across 48 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The action is good, the roguelike is good (no permanent progression outside of unlocking the characters, weapons, and levels which is done by the first 2 hours guarenteed).
at first blush, Wanted Shadows seems like a solid enough garlic-like. the visuals are genuinely terrific, the music's nice (but more on that later), the levels don't feel as barren as those in Vampire Survivors, and the fact that you have to manually attack intrinsically makes the gameplay more involving than a lot of the lesser entries into this burgeoning field.
Pleasing enough look, lots to unlock and mix together for replay and experimental value, and difficulty settings with higher XP for those looking for a risk/reward design.
