Gameplay holds up, and it feels like the natural evolution of the series, while still retaining that MGS style.
First, this is absolutely the GRAND finale of the entire Metal Gear Solid story (so ideally I would recommend you play this as the FINAL stop in your mainline MGS journey if you can) and holy CROW does it deliver on the plot/narrative front even when compared to every other game in the series.
It's a solid 60 FPS on my aging NVIDIA RTX 3060 - that's damn good, and not the quality I expected after MC Vol 1's rocky launch.
MGS4 features the best AI guards, the most fleshed out animations and most impressive weapons catalogue thus far.
Also, its very well optimized and runs beautifully on the Steam Deck.
Graphics: 7/10 (looks good for a PS3 game and looks MUCH better now being at 60fps versus struggling to keep 30)
