This game is an amazing combination of roguelike mechanics with the themes of the BSG reimagining.
FTL's combat worked because it built complexity out of many simple moving parts and was FAR more variable and dynamic in ways that this system just . . . isn't.
For roguelike fans, the game offers not only quite a lot of meta progression through the Fate system, but an absurd amount of replayability through story choices, RNG, different fleets, and a massive variety of achievements and unlocks.
The graphics and art style are actually quite charming with a retro feel, very aesthetically pleasing, and let the game run with superb performance.
The music, as mention in the super short version, is great, but absolutely not as good as the shows OST and swapping them is a massive improvement.
There's quite a lot going on, balancing heroes, ship upgrades, crises, resource production, cylon investigations, POI's - you absolutely can't do everything, and that's the mark of a well balanced game.
