Super fun gameplay with solid platforming plus some enjoyable palate cleanser sections for gameplay variety.
When I began playing on hard difficulty, I felt that was the way the game was truly supposed to be.
Ragebounds' combat is simple but effective, with cathartic gameplay slicing up demons by the dozens.
While i'm a little disappointed there isn't more story content here (the game ends pretty abruptly, and I think it could benefit from another act to really flesh out the game's climax), what IS here is fantastic, and absolutely worth your time.
The pumped up soundtrack really fit the vibe and while it's not something i'd listen to outside of the game it was a very nice companion to keep the pace.
With top notch pixel art graphics and fluid gameplay, you are driven through an easily likable game which is sure to be one – if not the best – game in 2025 in terms of retro gaming.
