I adored the music, the art style (the 2.5D in-game, not the 2D intro/ending), the colorful characters, the bug world, and the goals.
Violett is a delightful point and click game, though partially also a hidden object game, containing engaging puzzles, colorful and creative landscapes, and a memorable soundtrack.
While the game has some significant room for improvement with regards to feedback on player actions (which arguably enhances the sense of feeling alone in an alien environment), its general difficulty was something I found enjoyable, and a bit of a breath of fresh air after many accessibility focused adventure games I'd been playing around that time.
I didn't really mind using a text or video walkthrough for some most parts, because I could look past that and enjoy other aspects of the game, like the art, character design, "2.5D" level design, and silly Alice-like atmosphere.
This is a point-and-click adventure game, with decent gamepad/controller support.
