I think it’s way better than house 1, I like the art style more than the pixel art from the first game, and the boss encounters are more challenging and better designed.
This game stands on it's own, and is in some ways the fully realized vision of the original's gameplay loop.)
The soundtrack really brings back the feel of the first game too.
