What players think
The recurring themes across 248 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
That said, in my radical opinion the most important part of a game is, well, the GAME, and while Brush Burial looks and sounds VERY cool, the gameplay unfortunately misses the mark.
I could go on about the great sound-design, the ambient cavernous humming similar to Thief, the tremendous soundtrack and all the small little touches to the game that speaks equally of effort, talent and love that went into the game.
Brush Burial has a really charming presentation and the PSX-style graphics are great.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 5 sampled reviews and are not shown.
