What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Within the main progression and achievements, it is fair and very rewarding.
The main appeal of Cuphead, aside from the visuals, are the dozens of unique and challenging bosses, each one filled with charm and attention to detail.
Difficulty ramps up a good amount on Expert, more projectiles, faster patterns, higher boss health compared to regular.
I often find myself replaying bosses with my boyfriend, because it has couch co-op and an amazing one at that!
Thankfully, the DLC got rid of the run and gun levels, and instead focused entirely on the bosses, featuring some of the best fights in the entire game, as well as new gimmick fights that put your parry skills to the test.
The main game, dlc and the ost are worth every penny spent.
