What players think
The recurring themes across 103 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Surprisingly good and I wasn’t expecting the game to be so intuitive in it’s mechanics and world building.
Each level explores each new world’s gimmick well and iteratively and the story does the same through the level design.
Visually, On Rusty Trails stands out through its bold, illustrated art style.
The controls are smooth and precise (highly recommend using a gamepad), and the difficulty curve feels just right—failures always feel fair, and you can feel yourself improving with each attempt.
The soundtrack leans toward moody, electronic compositions that complement the industrial aesthetic and heighten tension during demanding platforming sequences.
