What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Multiplayer can be a lot of fun, but I think the game would benefit from allowing multiple players to occupy the same vehicle.
Being able to fly, drive, or operate vehicles together would make cooperative gameplay much more enjoyable.
The graphics and sound from the original are an obvious improvement, the lighting and clouds are exceptional.
Laser-guided weapons and targeting pods are especially fun, and with custom logic the community has already demonstrated systems resembling GPS/GNSS navigation and guidance.
The fact that I can fly through volumetric clouds and crash-land in rolling ocean waves all without tanking my FPS is something I'm very thankful for, especially with my many hours in modded Kerbal Space Program.
Being able to build stuff and share it with your friends in multiplayer, or have build offs and dog fights is genuinely huge fun, and adds way more depth to the game.
