What players think
The recurring themes across 94 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I have found the gameplay to be fun, with just the right amount of challenge.
The highlight of the game is its writing – while the story isn't deep or complex at all, there is a huge amount of absolutely hilarious dialogue and banter between the characters.
Combat itself is accessible and fast-paced, combining hack-and-slash mechanics with light RPG elements.
The graphics are pixellated in such a way to faithfully recreate many aspects of SotN and other MVs of that time period.
There is also a decent amount of difficulty that can be overcome through proper planning and skill.
