Which is a shame -- the story is definitely better in this game, and I got actually worried for some of the characters.
If you enjoy thoughtful deduction, strong atmosphere, and mystery-driven gameplay told through text and logic rather than spectacle, this is an easy recommendation.
Everything is improved and the difficulty has also gone up a notch.
The graphics are fairly nice, but the character designs, especially the faces, leave something to be desired.
A typing interface for searching stuff would also be pretty good and a more functional back button in the main book would have been wonderful.
The sound design is minimal but perfect, I really enjoyed how some of the antiques has audio clues.
