You play as Wei Shen, an undercover cop walking the thin line between loyalty and corruption, and the story is surprisingly engaging from start to finish.
It perfectly captures that classic open-world formula from the early 2010s but adds its own Hong Kong flavor that makes it stand out.
The combat system feels like a mix of Arkham-style brawling and classic martial arts choreography — every punch, kick, and counter feels brutal and satisfying.
The Definitive Edition adds improved visuals, all DLCs, and slightly better performance, although it’s not flawless.
The game also has great soundtrack with being able to listen to a lot of songs on the radio with different radio stations while in cars and boats.
Gunplay is severely more lacking, but level design is great that gameplay sections are well balanced before they become overwhelmed by time or difficulty.
