What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
What is there more to say which others have not said in that you get a wonderfully woven narrative (avoiding spoilers is a MUST) that allows the varied cast to shine in all of their individual ways.
Of course, the presentation through both the visuals, character design, setting and the amazing OST accentuate the atmosphere and support the already strong foundations as mentioned above, to make a very complete package of a visual novel.
In looks and mechanics, this definitely falls into the rapidly-developing category of "Danganronpa-likes": A scenario of killings, someone dies, collect evidence, hold a trial, find the killer, execute them.
Additionally, the game retains more of the genre's visual novel roots, so the visuals are all static images; no fully animated sequences like in Danganronpa, but the CG's are beautiful.
The character design is great and art is much better than Danganronpa and the antagonists are very well done and much subtler.
