What players think
The recurring themes across 103 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
While it may not have the visual polish of Alyx or Wanderer, and it may not offer as many hours of gameplay as Vertigo 2 or Arken Age, this game is as immersive and entertaining as any other PCVR game in its genre.
Of Lies and Rain is one of the best single player narrative adventure games in VR, period.
In terms of gameplay, visuals, and storytelling, it feels well-crafted, with a surprising amount of polish and good game design.
Combat- About as satisfying as I could expect from a game where combat isn't the only main focus, not amazing but still satisfying especially the shotgun after getting the damage upgrade *chef's kiss*
Presentation-wise its great the environments are atmospheric and detailed, the voice acting is solid, and the narrative is engaging enough to keep you pushing forward.
