I may have saved too much actually, because getting the "best ending" achievement depends on a specific decision I made, and that save was overwritten long before I reached the end.
It is a lot like a rpg because you go talk to guys and get missions so it might be the first ever fps action rpg.
I had to fiddle with some graphics options to make it run smooth again.
+ Smooth gameplay and plays like DOOM
The music is pretty enjoyable but like the music for the town or the power plant and the voice acting is fun in a hammy way.
I've only tested controller support with a wired Xbox 360 controller, but man does it work well.
