What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The multiple amount of weapons, perks and stats makes the gameplay interesting for the short amount of time it takes to beat.
For me, DDD didn't make the best design choices, even though I appreciate how the game builds upon a story, with the characters having a reason to dive into the dungeons aside from just snagging loot.
Don't be fooled by poor presentation, - behind seemingly plain sprite graphics (which is super neat though!) hides amazing art, pleasing animations, peculiar characters/bosses, quirky jests and hours, many hours of fun.
Combat is the heart of the experience, built around a timing-based system that rewards patience and observation.
Gameplay is marked by simplicity both through its learning curve as well as its depth in progression.
Soundtrack is catchy and doesn't make you quirl in agony like some titles do even after repeating same levels dozens of times.
