Absolutely fantastic Souls-like with combat that feels fresh to the genre, a fantastic art style, and incredibly satisfying bosses.
I will say this though: This game is a Soulslike through-and-through, and yet it has managed to take that genre and remix its mechanics in a manner such that it is simultaneously both fresh and intuitive.
It has an interesting take on Souls-like combat, particularly with its Stress system and deflect mechanic, which at times felt somewhat reminiscent of the blocking and Perfect Guard mechanics in "Lies of P", while still managing to have an identity of its own.
mechanics aside, the visuals are what originally grabbed me. they remind me of early era 3D art, with their interesting materials/texture work and funky use of geometry to create impressionist scenes. it's a very pretty game!
