The crafting system is very dynamic, allowing you to disassemble any item you craft for a full refund on your materials, which allows you to experiment with different options for a time, then return to a table and try something else rather than commit permanently to something you may not ultimately like.
Every tiny secret you find has a reward at the end of it, and your options for combat and optimization expand geometrically as a result.
Exploration is peak, combat and bosses are decent enough, with a fun enough story and a moody atmosphere.
Streamlines enough of the mechanics to keep it fun (and more Zelda-like), while still having enough difficulty to be challenging.
Despite that, the game is gorgeous and I found the soundtrack enjoyable.
The game feels nice, the graphics and snappiness of things reminds me of SNES era games.
