What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The game possesses a certain Burton-esque quality, featuring beautiful art, clever and frequently funny writing, and a certain fancifulness of the music, which are combined with a story full of dark undertones, populated with wacky, almost absurd characters, and centred around a menacing, sinister villain.
The voice acting is second to none, done by professional and celebrity actors.
Three playthroughs are required for 100% achievements, but thanks to the shorter length and smooth gameplay it doesn't turn into a chore.
Colourful explosions and exquisite lighting add to the wow factor - the 3D clue items collected in your inventory can be spun around and catch the light wonderfully.
Well rounded game: not too long or short, with sad and little tragic, but wholesome story, great and atmospheric artwork and puzzles without painful difficulty - it's enough being careful in exploring the whole map to continue.
