The setting alone is something I've rolled around in my head daily as a kid, with its amazing characters and art direction as well.
The soundtrack is good and fits the game's atmosphere.
So, for me, the story is easily the best part of the game, while the gameplay is kinda basic.
I also loved the hand drawn sketch like art style mixed with the pixel art that has both monochrome and vibrant colors (such as backgrounds) to it.
Console releases, an official translation, a much improved combat system, new content, better user interface, this remake had it almost everything.
