Even though its tropey, the voice actors really do seem to give the story moments of emotional weight that have you feel for the characters.
It's a great crafting game, and my most proper introduction into the series (I waffled a bit on Sophie).
The combat of the game is a fun system as well, feeling like a simpler version of the one offered in the Grandia series.
The game runs flawlessly and looks great for me without changing any settings or getting mods, played on both windows (SATA SSD) and steam deck (default internal storage).
Atelier Sophie is a much older game and has full English voice acting which is awesome... so I don't know why they went away from it?
