What players think
The recurring themes across 299 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
This game improves on the previous one in many ways, the inclusion of more characters and story, a new layout, new entities, new anomalies, and the endless mode.
For one, the gameplay loop is just across the board better.
Dim lighting, realistic interiors, subtle visual distortions, and carefully crafted ambient audio create a constant feeling that something is wrong, even when nothing immediately threatening is visible.
The voice acting was extremely well done and really reeled me in more on our character and especially our character's father, the voicemails were incredible.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
