What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The gameplay for the most part is fun, it is a Super Contra Clone, a pure run and gun to its core.
Expect to hear familiar NES-style sound effects as they are here in abundance.
The graphic art style is very good it definitely does a good job in capturing the feel, look and the spirit of a contra game with plenty of nice locations to look at.
There's local and online co-op with the netplay being quite decent, so if you have a friend who isn't afraid of a challenge gift them a copy of the game and enjoy some glorious fun.
The weapons all feel really great ranging from the default one to the mighty Spread shoot.
I haven't managed to play the game in multiplayer yet but I can imagine it being even more enjoyable (depending on your respective skill levels).
