Def can't suggest to my friends so the "multiplayer" isn't worth as well.
Sometimes I have calls with friends on Discord and I share my screen and my friends find the background music and visuals pleasant as well, but sharing the application only shows a large black screen with the game on the side as a tiny window.
I personally like the more microtransaction model, as it makes the ceiling for friends getting the game very low and helps you precisely cater to which content you want to throw a few bucks on.
Long story short, if you want it for the productivity part, there are better free things out there, if you want it for the cute idle game, there isn't enough here to justify $5.
Progression should be lightly encouraged, but on your own timer that suits the person/player, not with arbitrary dole outs of currency and a radioplayer that encourages you to clicker-game spam it every few minutes to get enough points to actually customise the way you want to.
It is only after you finish making your character and you return to the customisation menu that it shows that they can be unlocked with a currency earned for free with basic gameplay interactions.
