What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story here, while decent, is not as good as Re;birth 1 and not even close to Victory/Re;birth 3 or even V2 on the PS4.
Before i start this review i want to say that I am a fan of the hyperdimension games, they are my main reason for enjoin rpg games with their wild stories, great music, and solid gameplay.
I like that it lacks those annoying random battles that used to be common in JRPGs and that combat is easily avoided if you are not there to fight, as you can simply just outrun the monsters in the dungeon.
The is some good voice acting between the main cast of characters as well as situations between them which are nice to experience in the game.
The difficulty feels just right - it's not as hard as old-school jRPGs, but also not easy enough that you will be bored (unless you specifically overlevel your characters for the upcoming fights, or use the horrendously overpowered Gehaburn - Anime sword).
It offers a solid turn-based combat system, extensive character customization, and a story that balances sincerity with irreverent humor.
