My Logitech Dual Action (Looks like a PS2 controller if you're unsure) is USB and works perfectly for this game.
The gameplay is fantastic, making you feel like you are a pilot for the Empire.
For my play through I played the TIE Fighter Special Edition because I really like voice acting... and don't like reading.
